Elvis Fans Everywhere

TCP Memorial Benefit Committee has always raised money for charity in remembrance of Elvis and his own humanitarian ways. The Elvis FANtasy Fest in Portage Indiana is one example. This year we have taken on a project that's strictly a remembrance of Elvis himself.

Indianapolis has the distinction of being the last concert of Elvis' long and illustrious career. Since Market Square Arena was the last place that Elvis' star shined so brightly (and because the building is not longer there), we have everything lined up for the manufacturing and dedication of a Historical Marker at the site of Market Square Arena in Indianapolis. When all is said and done the marker, footings, walkways, permits will cost $10,000. Please click on Elvis Marker above to see a rendering of the Marker.

We are going to have a sealed time capsule inside the marker. I will be putting a scarf, given to me by Elvis at that concert in the capsule. The capsule is to be opened in 100 years. To help with the expenses we are asking Fan Clubs and individual fans if they would like make a donation of $25 and for this they will be able to write a remembrance of Elvis to be placed in the marker with Elvis' scarf. The first 250 donors will also receive a numbered 8 x 10 limited addition numbered photo of Elvis taken by Paul at this last Concert. The photo will have special text lasered in the photo commemorating the dedication of The Elvis Marker. It will be a collector's item that was on display at Market Square Arena for 23 years. We have also contacted Graceland hoping they might give us a copy of the contract for that show or some other appropriate artifact from the estate.

We think this a wonderful way to actually take part in and have lots of personal
remembrances inside the time capsule that will be shared with future generations.

Please send a check made out to, The Elvis Marker, to 931 Oswego Rd. Carmel, Indiana 46032. Please send ASAP, as we need to send a check in 4 weeks to get the manufacturing of the Marker started. Any excess funds donated will be given to The Special Olympics in Elvis' name.
